        • Q:

I previously purchased a "screw-in" CFL bulb from my local Big Al's. Unfortunately, I've noticed it no longer seems to be carried by Big Al's. It was a "Life-Glo". I've a 2' deep tank, I'm curious if 4 of these (Two hood lights, both X2 incandescent plugs) would be sufficient lighting for my aquarium plants, as I believe the previous lights were 7,200K and these are only 6,500K.

            A:

I would recommend purchasing a high output t5 system. Especially because your aquarium is two feet deep.

Is this compatible with an incandescent light hood ? Debating on whether to purchase a fluorescent hood, or whether this could be an alternative ?

            A:

As long as it can handle 10 Watts this will be compatible.
